FAQ
Christmas Light Installation FAQ
Straight answers about design, pricing, installs, repairs and takedown.
The basics
How it works
Do I own the lights?
No. The lights, clips, cords and timers are part of the service, so maintaining them, replacing what fails and storing them all year is our job. You never buy, box or store anything.
What if a strand goes out?
Call or text us and we come back to fix it. Repairs during the season are part of your price, whether it was the weather, a bulb or a landscaper’s trimmer.
When do you install?
Installs run from fall through mid-December, scheduled in the order people book. We set a date with you and keep it. The earlier you book, the more dates are open.
What happens after the holidays?
In January we come back, take everything down and store it until next season. Nothing comes back to your garage.
Do you light palm trees?
Yes, palms are a specialty. Royal, coconut, queen and Christmas palms, wrapped trunk to crown in even spirals, with uplit fronds if you like. Tall palms are wrapped from a lift.
How does pricing work?
After a free design call we send one flat price for the whole season: design, lights, install, repairs, takedown and storage. No surprise charges later.
Which areas do you serve?
Miami-Dade and Broward: Miami, Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Kendall, Doral, Weston, Fort Lauderdale, Plantation, Pembroke Pines, Coral Springs and the towns around them. Not sure we reach you? Ask.
Do I have to be home for the install?
Usually not. We need access to the yard and outdoor outlets. We confirm the details with you before your install date.
Can you work with my HOA rules?
Yes. Tell us your community and we design within its guidelines on colors, timing and placement.
Do you do businesses and HOA entrances?
Yes. Storefronts, plazas, restaurants, condos, offices and community entrances, installed outside business hours when needed.
Warm white or color?
Warm white is the classic Miami look and suits every house. Classic multicolor is a family favorite, and modern homes look great in cool white or a color accent. We will help you pick on the design call.
What about permanent lights?
We install permanent LED track lighting under the roof edge. It stays up all year, hides by day and shows any color from your phone. See our permanent lighting page for details.
How much does Christmas light installation cost in Miami?
It depends on how much of the house you want lit: the length of the roofline, how many palms and trees, the height of the home and whether you want hedges and walkways. We price every home after a free design call, as one flat price for the season that covers design, install, repairs, takedown and storage.
Can you install lights on a barrel tile roof?
Yes. Most Miami roofs are tile, and we use clips made for barrel and flat tile that grip the edge without drilling, gluing or lifting tiles.
Do I need to buy the lights?
No. The lights, clips, cords and timers are part of the service. You do not buy, box or store anything.
How do you wrap a tall royal palm?
Tall palms are wrapped from a lift, starting at the base and climbing in an even spiral to the crown shaft. Spacing is planned before we start so the wrap looks the same from top to bottom.
Does wrapping hurt the palm?
No. We do not nail, staple or cut into the trunk. The lights sit on the outside of the trunk and come off clean after the season.
Can you light just the palms and not the house?
Yes. Plenty of Miami homes light only the palms, or the palms and the hedges. We design to what you want.
Do you work with HOAs and property managers?
Yes. We design entrance and common-area displays, send one proposal for the board, and schedule the install around residents.
Can you install outside business hours?
Yes. Commercial installs can be scheduled early mornings, evenings or on closed days so you never lose a sale.
Do you provide insurance certificates?
Ask for a certificate of insurance when you request your proposal and we will send what your property manager needs.
What are permanent Christmas lights?
An LED track installed under the edge of your roof that stays up all year. It is nearly invisible by day and can show warm white or any color at night, controlled from an app.
Can you see permanent lights during the day?
Barely. The track is slim and color-matched to your fascia, so most people never notice it until it turns on.
Do permanent lights work on tile roofs?
Yes. The track mounts to the fascia under the roof edge, not to the tiles, so it works on barrel tile, flat tile and metal roofs.
